National five-year development plan
The Second Five Year Development Plan (FYDP II), 2016/17 – 2020/21, has integrated frameworks of the first Five Year Development Plan (FYDP I) and the National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (NSGRP/MKUKUTA II). The theme of FYDP II “Nurturing Industrialization for Economic Transformation and Human
Development” incorporates the main focus of the two frameworks, namely growth and transformation (FYDP I) and poverty reduction (MKUKUTA II).
Agenda 2063 in Tanzania
Agenda 2063 is Africa’s blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the continent’s strategic framework that aims to deliver on its goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
The Tanzania Development Vision 2025
The main goal of Vision 2025 are to transform the economy from a low productivity agricultural economy to a semi-industrialized one led by modernized and highly productive agricultural activities which are effectively integrated and buttressed by supportive industrial and service activities in the rural and urban areas. Another goal is to lay a solid foundation for a competitive and dynamic economy with high productivity.
